The first New Holland T5 DCT tractor sold in the country collected on its 70-plate today
Today was an exciting day for us here at Lloyd Ltd Carlisle as we not only handed over the first of our 70-plate tractors, but the first all-new New Holland T5 Dynamic Command tractor sold in the country was also collected.
Alan and Colin Graham of Calvertsholm Farm near Gretna chose this new model, the T5.140 DCT, to be used as a second tractor on their 190-head dairy farm. They had bought a new T7.210 a couple of years ago, but needed a smaller tractor to help with jobs around the farm. The combination of the T5’s size and the impressive new transmission made it the ideal solution. “We wanted a tractor which would do the normal work that the big tractor would do, but in a more compact and manageable form”, said Alan Graham. “The compact size, plenty of horse power, and the comfort from the front and cab suspension make it the perfect second tractor for our use – silage carting and slurry, muck and fertiliser spreading.”
Colin was particularly impressed with the new DCT transmission: “It’s a really good gearbox – I would like it in the other tractor too! Compared to other transmissions it is so smooth and easy to use. Anyone can jump into the cab and know how to use it. It’s ideal.”
Alan added, “We chose this tractor not only because of the new transmission and the fact it fits exactly what we need, but also because of the back-up and support we’ve had from John Marston and the team at Lloyd Ltd Carlisle. That makes all the difference these days.”
Thank you for your continued business, gentlemen.
