LLOYD LTD’S FIRST MECALAC GOES TO ARROWHAUL
We are delighted that Owen Hutchinson, owner of our regular supplier Arrowbuild and hire business Arrowhaul, has taken delivery of the first Mecalac dumpers sold by Lloyd Ltd since we took on the franchise at the start of this month. Here he is with Lloyd Ltd Bishop Auckland’s Dealer Principal David Greedy.
Owen chose to have these two 9MDX dumpers fitted with Mecalac’s hydrostatic gearbox for additional performance and torque, and also opted for the cabbed version to ensure compliance with the forthcoming legislation mandating cabs on 9-tonne dumpers for safety purposes. Ideal for long days on site, the cab is not only spacious with excellent visibility of the skip but also comes with cab suspension for extra comfort and ease of use, as well as being accessible from both sides via large stair-like steps with a full-length handrail for 3 points of contact to ensure safety and flexibility on site.
Owen is looking forward to putting these Mecalac machines to work, both on hire to customers via Arrowhaul and also working on Arrowbuild’s own construction sites: “Many hire companies buy solely on the basis of price, but I go for features, reliability and back-up”, said Owen. “These Mecalac dumpers are packed with safety features as well as providing the performance we need. Dumpers are the core of a site – if your dumper goes down it has a knock-on effect on other activities so having a reliable machine is essential. Mecalac has a very good reputation and the 2-year standard warranty is excellent, as is the back-up I’ve had from Lloyd Ltd over the years.”
